Five Items to Keep in Your European Car

You don’t ever want to overload your European car, of course, but there are some things you should definitely be keeping in the car just in case. Jackson Auto Repair has a list of some of the items you might need most.

Documents

Every car owner needs documents in the car, like the registration and your insurance information. But there are other documents you might want to keep in the car, too, like the owner’s manual and any repair invoices and documents. You never know when you’ll need to know something like when you last replaced your battery, and those documents are incredibly helpful.

A Small Tool Kit

Even if you’re not handy with car repairs yourself, you really should have a small tool kit in your European car. Jumper cables, an adjustable wrench or small socket set, and tools for swapping a flat tire are all important. You may want to add flashlights and extra batteries, too.

Seasonal Tool Needs

You might just need different things in the summer versus the winter, too. A blanket in winter and an umbrella for summer can both be helpful, and to save space and weight, you might want to swap them out seasonally. Think about anything that you might possibly need in a breakdown and consider adding that to the car.

Additional Supplies

If the only trips you take are small ones in well-populated areas, you might not need anything else. But if you do happen to drive in less-populated places or you tend to be out and about early in the morning or late at night, having some additional supplies isn’t a terrible idea. Things like spare water, protein bars, or a change of clothes could all be incredibly useful.

A First Aid Kit

You also never know when you need a bandage or anything else after a small injury. Keeping a first aid kit in your car helps you to be prepared for whatever might happen. Remember to check it periodically and to restock items that you use.
